to the left he saw 2 silver objects of either spherical or disc-like shape
moving about 300 MPH at epproximetely 8000 ft he:ding ebout 320° due north,

Jannette Merie Scotte,        Witnesses &ll verified the eighting end the direction
of the objects - all       three   stated that the objects were moving

Witness vas sure it wes not an opticel illusion or that the
                                                            objects were not
weather balloone since they treveled egeainst preveiling wind
                                                              and since the
speed at which they traveled and the horizontal directi
                                                        on taken indicated
that they were not weather belloons,         Furthermore they could not remsin at
the seme altitude so consistently if they        were weather balloons,
Witness then attempted to get perscnnel         (medicol officers)   to further verify
the sighting but by the time the additionel personnel had errived st the
sane the original objects had dissppeered due to the speed at which
                                                                    they were
traveling,       However, two of them sighted a third object of a silver spherical
or disc-like nature at approximeately 8000 ft traveling in circles over
                                                                        the
north end of the airfield, Five out of the seven personnel
                                                            sow this object
All looked awey from the object several times to meke sure there wes no eye
strain,   He steted that this object performed too tight a circle to be
any tyve of known aircraeft.

Acsured that it was not eye-strain,    she wes convinced the objects were not
westher balloons due to the horizontel position in which

could they have been birds dince they reflected the sun's
                                                          rays.

Some three or four mimues after the objects had nearly diseppe
                                                               ared she saw
arother flying object eimilar to the above-mentioned
                                                     objects.     It wes silver
eolored snd disc-like in shape,  Unlike the first two, it flew in a tight circle,
neigher losing nor gaining altitude, at approximately &,000

         On 7 July 197, at approximately 10310, while running up the XP~& on
     the ground I noticed everyone #ms looking up into the air.

   As this ob,    descended through a low enough level to permit observation
of its la      silhouette, it presented a distinet ovular outline, with two (2)
projections on the upper surface which might have been thich fins or nobs. These
crossed
      each other at intervals, suggesting either rotation
                                                    or oscillation of slow
type.

   No smoke flames, propellar arks, engine noise, or other clasuable or visible
mens of propulsion were noted. The colar was silvery, resembling alumimum painted
fabric, and did not appear as dense as a parachute canopye.                 E   y
   When the object dropped to a level such that conéé into line of vision
of the mountain
            tops, it was lost to the vision of the observer.

   It is estimated that the object was in line of vision about 90 seconds.

  The following is my own personal opinmions about this object:

   1.   I think it was a manpmade object, as evidenced distaintly by the
outline and functiomal appearance.

   2.   It's sise mas not far from 25 feet with a parachute canigy.

   3. The path followed by this object appeared as though it might have

traveled at terrific speed - faster then any        object witnees had ever
seen - It left no vapor treil or smoie trail.

some type of aireraft but eould mot give further description as speed
made observation difficult.  No sound wae heard from the flying object.
He thought it        zred radio-controlled beczuse the dise could chcnge

Patrolmen D, W, Ellis (also a private pilot) perceived taree
£1at round discs which flew at terrific speed in straight line
formation, the last disc fluttering very rapidly in a side-way
are. He sew no evidence of any motiveting powers end there
were no vepor or smoke trails, No eound could be heard.
Ground tempersture wue 820F with little or no cloud formation.

        of the harbor patrol at the foot of NW Irving Street             out
     when they heard the allecar alert. OCapt. K. A, Prehm, Harbor    Pilot, A.T.
     Austed and Patrolmen K, C, Hoff, all saw the objects and said
     %0 be going south high over the @love Mills at terrific speed. Copt. Preha
     said the flashes kept them from ascertaining whether there were three or six.

      "Phe discs would vseillate snd sometimes we would see a full dise, them &
       half-moon shape, them nothing at all," he reported. The objects looked gore
       like a shiny chromium hub esp off a car which wobbled, Mw-‘m!
     There was = plane in the sky at the time, but all were emphatic that the dises
     we  plames.

                                      we would see the plane.                 But there was        |
no sound, so we kept looking until we saw
                                        a tiny object from which                the vapor
was emitting,   It was so far away we could not dete:     1ine       the size or even the
shape,   Its only identity was a glisten in the sun.                 ‘had watched this one for
a few seconds, when from the general direct
                                            ion of the sun, another object shot
into the sky.   Tt followed the general direction of the first, shooti
                                                                      ng up and
dovn before settling to a south-easterly course across
                                                       the sky, where we followed
them until they were only a glisten and the vapor could
                                                        no longer be seen, After
the objects were gone, we contimued to look and to watch
                                                         the vapor that had been
left which now looked like clouds but kept a shape,
                                                    and this shape seemed to glide
across the sky to the East where there was a black
                                                   streak leading to the horizon,
The vapor stayed in the sky for over an hour,
